| The House Band hails from Lynchburg, Virginia and is composed of members from former bands in the area. The composition of musicians comes from varied musical backgrounds in Gospel, Jazz, and R&B. Several have played on cruise ship circuits. The band has become very popular in Virginia and has performed in many venues. We just recently opened for three different VIBE 100 Radio sponsored events featuring American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, The BarKays, Algebra, and Lacee', at the 17th Annual Henry Street Heritage Festival on Saturday Sept. 30 2006, held in Elmwood Park Roanoke, Virginia. The House Band also opened for Urban Mystic and Lacee' in the spring of 2006 at " The Thursday Night Throwback" in Lynchburg , Va. The Holiday Inn Select in Lynchburg is where award winning internationally known movie star and singer Stephanie Mills and singing sensation Archie Love appeared in Central Virginia. The House Band set the tone for the blockbuster event. In 2005 and 2006 Ellington Playhouse Fridays seasons have been opened up by none other than The House Band. |
