| The House Band of VA plays a variety of 70s, 80s, and current hits from Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Frankie Beverley & Maze, James Brown, Tyrone Davis, Delfonics, Chilites, Stylistics, Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Bloodstone, The Ohio Players, Commodores, Isley Brothers, Temptations, Motown Artists, Stevie Wonder, Jeffrey Osborne, O'Jays, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool & The Gang, Herbie Hancock, Chuck Brown, R Kelley, Marcia Griffiths (Electric Slide), John Legend, Los Lonely Boys and many more genres. The band hails from Lynchburg, Virginia, and is composed of musicians from varied backgrounds in Gospel, Jazz, and R&B. Several of the musicians have played on cruise ship circuits( Royal Caribbean Lines and Premier Cruise Lines). The band has become very popular in Virginia and has performed in many private, civic, fraternal, and corporate venues. Most recently, the band performed for Accurate Diagnostic Labs, Inc. annual event held in Somerset, New Jersey, at the Imperia in May 2010, and the band played for over four thousand hotel owners at the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) conference held in November 2009, at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Gladys Knight opened the event on Wednesday and Colin Powell was the guest speaker. The House Band was the main attraction on that Thursday night and closed the event. The band has opened different VIBE 100 Radio events for American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard, The Barkays, ALgebra, Lacee, Archie Love, Urban Mystic, and Stephanie Mills. The band also did an impressive opening for Event Zone's Festival In The Park featuring the Susette Dorsey Tina Turner Review Band and Show. 2010 is the third year in a row that the Natural Bridge Hotel (world attraction Natural Bridge) in Natural Bridge, Virginia, will feature the House Band for its annual New Year's Eve Bash which has sold out every year. The band has been featured every year since 2005 at the Ellington Fellowship Playhouse Theatre in Lynchburg, Virginia. The band has played the Lynchburg Academy of Fine Arts and made history not by selling out of tickets, but by overselling the event and additional seating was added.
